Call for Papers, Posters and Workshops

The Portuguese Balint Society (Associação Portuguesa de Grupos Balint -APGB) and the International Balint Federation (IBF), the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee of the 21st IBF Congress have the pleasure to invite you to submit Papers, Posters and Workshop proposals on the theme:

``Balint: seeing medicine through other eyes``

General Guidance

Consult the general guidance and guidance for contributors

Whether the submission is for a Paper, Poster or Workshop presentation must be indicated in the title.

Submissions should be in English, using Times New Roman, size 12, with single line spacing.

The title of the presentation should be written in capital letters, and the name(s) of the presenting author(s) should be underlined.

The identification of the authors should include: first name, last name, degree, institution, department, city, country and email address.

Submissions should be sent by email to

Workshop facilitators and presenters should be members of a national Balint Society or direct individual members of the IBF, and must prove this situation.

Oral Presentation

 Time allowed: maximum of 20 minutes for presentation, followed by a maximum of 10 minutes for discussion with the audience.

Length allowed: maximum of 2500 words.

Please attach an abstract of approximately 150 words.

Abstracts alone are not accepted: only full texts will be considered.


 Standard size: biggest is 90×120 cm.

 Please submit an abstract of approximately 150 words.

 Successful contributors will be expected to print their posters and bring them to the Congress.


Time allowed for session: maximum of 90 minutes

 Please submit a description of your workshop in a maximum of 500 words.

We suggest you keep any talks included to about 10 minutes.

 A plan of how the time will be distributed and a description of how participants will be involved during the session must be included.

You will receive an email acknowledgement of the receipt of your submission in 24h after it is sent.

You will be notified of the status of your submission as soon as the Scientific Committee has finished its evaluation.
Authors and presenters whose work is accepted are asked to register for the Congress no later than 30th April 2019 in order to allow time for the publication of the Congress proceedings.
